Are you a Master’s student seeking hands-on experience in international project communications? Join the MORES Youth Ambassadors Programme, hosted by the EU-funded project MORES (Moral Emotions in Politics: How They Unite, How They Divide) at the HUN-REN Centre for Social Sciences in Budapest, Hungary. This traineeship is a unique opportunity to develop your communication and research skills while promoting an exciting research initiative within your networks. You will contribute to bridging academic research with youth communities across Europe.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As a MORES Youth Ambassador, you will:
  • Support Communications: Assist the Communications manager with project outreach activities.
  • Engage Students: Build a database of university students interested in MORES and help create newsletters tailored to them.
  • Promote Research: Share MORES scientific conclusions in social media, student events, and create short videos.
  • Take Part in Research (Optional): Contribute to research tasks under the supervision of a project researcher.
  • Host a Webinar: Organise, promote, and carry out a 1-hour Q&A session about MORES for youth and students.
  • Research Interviews: Interview project researchers and publish the content on MORES and home institutions’ communication channels.
  • Present your Work: Showcase MORES to peers or professors through a presentation at your home institution, during the traineeship period or within 3 months of its conclusion, and report on its preparation and outcomes.
  • Innovate: Propose any other creative idea to amplify MORES’s reach.

MORES is a Horizon Europe-funded research project exploring how moral emotions, values, and identities shape political engagement and democracy. By studying the effects of emotional detachment and polarisation in politics, MORES aims to support better policymaking and strengthen democratic values across Europe. Training and learning elements of internship

You will acquire knowledge on: Hands-on experience in a European-wide Horizon Europe-funded research project, insight into academic research communication and public engagement, exposure to key themes in political science, psychology, and social research, access to a professional network at the Centre
You will acquire skills in: Writing newsletters and managing social media, organising webinars and collaborative tasks, engaging with students and researchers across Europe, designing creative outreach activities, presenting research to peers, optional research support under supervision

YOUR PROFILE

Education We are seeking ERASMUS+-funded trainees currently enrolled in or recent graduates of Master’s Programmes in Political Science, Media and Communication, Public Policy, Psychology, Sociology, or any related fields.
Skills and experience
  • Excellent English skills (C1 level or higher)
  • Creativity and initiative in promoting research to youth audiences
  • First experience with digital communication (e.g. social media, newsletters, video) is beneficial
  • Strong interest in social sciences and public engagement
  • Ability to secure Erasmus+ funding through your home institution
