Are you passionate about language learning and eager to gain hands-on teaching experience in a dynamic school environment? Join our team as an intern to support English classes, lead small conversation groups, run a lively lunchtime English club, and contribute to cross-curricular projects. You'll also teach language lessons to adults at various levels and be part of a vibrant, multicultural school community.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Assist English teachers in class by supporting students with difficulties or taking charge of small conversation groups (up to 15 students).
  • Run an English club during lunchtime to encourage informal language practice.
  • Work with bilingual students in developing their reading and writing skills.
  • Contribute to cross-curricular work in collaboration with other subject areas such as History, Arts, Geography, and Technology.
  • Teach English to adults at various proficiency levels (A2 to C1).
  • Assist in German or Spanish lessons and run lunchtime language clubs if proficient in either; other native languages are also welcome for beginner-level clubs.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, especially in music or sports, and support choir practice if musically inclined.

YOUR PROFILE

Education We are looking for students currently training to become teachers, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree completed.
Skills and experience
  • Strong command of English (C1+), plus any additional languages (e.g. German, Spanish, or a native language) is an asset
  • At least B2 level in French to navigate the school environment and communicate effectively
  • Prior experience engaging with teenagers or supporting classroom activities is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with different age groups
  • Proactive in leading clubs, planning engaging activities, and adapting materials
  • Genuine motivation to support student learning and gain hands-on teaching experience
