Your tasks and responsibilities
Your main focus will be on Business Operations (the behind-the-scenes work), and youโll also be involved in cross-functional lateral projects to gain a well-rounded view of our operations. These may include events, marketing, or creative workโtailored to both your interests and our current needs.
Business Operations
- Managing materials, purchases, event transport, and general administrative tasks
- Supporting data collection, analysis, and competitor research to inform decision-making
- Assisting with accounts, bookkeeping, ticketing systems, and platform management
- Screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and maintaining HR files
- Helping with induction, training, roster planning, and performance assessments
- Supporting policy implementation and handling basic HR-related matters
- Coordinating the planning and execution of new events, projects, and internal systems
- Contributing to cross functional projects based on company needs and your skills, in areas such as events, partner relations, communication, marketing, creative work, and digital operations
LEADERSHIP ROLES: For highly motivated and capable interns, there may be an opportunity to step into an Event Team Leader and/or Department Leader role after gaining sufficient experience. This unique opportunity, despite still being supported by your mentor in a supervised environment, allows you to develop real managerial and project management skills through delegation and instructing junior internsโtremendously enhancing your professional growth.
Interns work approximately 40 hours per week, typically split between on-site event operations (around 4 evenings per week in central Malta) and remote lateral projects scheduled during the day. The weekly schedule is flexible and may include some weekends. Adaptability and a willingness to take on a rotating timetable are essential, as the role reflects the dynamic nature of the event industry.
