Looking for an Erasmus+ internship where no two days are the same? Join the team at Atlas Language School in sunny Malta this summer as an Operations & Events Intern. You'll support student services, help run social events, and gain real-world experience in a vibrant international setting. We're looking for motivated, dedicated individuals to join our team supporting students from around the world who come to Malta to learn English!

Your tasks and responsibilities

The Atlas intern will provide support in the Operations department of the school, carrying out administrative duties and acting as a social programme leader, as well as looking after our groups.
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Support student registration, onboarding, and first-day assistance
  • Manage student data using the Fidelo system and assist with email communication
  • Provide front desk support: answer enquiries, help with printing, and register students for activities
  • Prepare welcome packs, certificates, and materials for students and groups
  • Assist in planning and leading social programme activities and events
  • Create and schedule content for social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram)
  • Help manage the Atlas cafรฉ: serve customers, maintain the coffee machine, and track stock and sales
  • Welcome and support closed student groups, including orientations and excursions
  • Participate in social evenings and student events, and help promote weekly schedules
  • Collaborate with the operations team on various tasks, including training new interns and supporting academic staff when needed
  • Assist with other ad hoc tasks as needed to support daily school operations and student experience
This is a full-time internship (40 hours per week) spread across 5 days, with 2 days off each week. Social programme activities are part of the working hours. Your schedule will be dynamic and may include afternoons, evenings, and some weekendsโ€”especially for social activities. As the schedule varies based on events, youโ€™ll be informed of your timetable in advance each week.

Training and learning elements of internship

You will acquire knowledge on: Welcoming and registering new students, guiding them through their first day. Updating and managing student data via the Fidelo system. Supporting internal communication and reception duties during peak times. Organizing weekly events and contributing to social media content.
You will acquire skills in: Communication: Handling student queries, calls, emails, and walk-ins professionally; Administrative and IT: Managing student data, paperwork, and school communications; Event Coordination and Social Media: Planning, promoting events, and creating social media content.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational and administrative abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team and provide excellent customer service
  • Previous experience in administration, customer service, or a similar role is an asset

Monthly contribution: โ‚ฌ500 per month to support living expenses. In addition, we offer free accommodation in one of our student apartment shared twin rooms within walking distance to the school. We offer 10 days of paid holidays for a 6 month internship. We also offer a โ‚ฌ300 travel stipend for flights. Atlas t-shirts are worn as uniforms.
