Are you planning a gap year and looking for meaningful international experience? Would you like to develop as an English teacher while living in the south of Spain? We are looking for great candidates to join us from 26th August 2026 to late June 2027 for a paid 10-month English Teaching Internship in Seville. This is a great a teacher-in-training Erasmus+ opportunity designed to give you hands-on classroom experience, structured support, and real responsibility from day one.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will:
  • Teach English lessons with young children, teenagers and possibly adult students.
  • Help with course and class planning outside the classroom.
  • Learn about Jolly Phonics and how to use it with younger learners.
  • Help create and produce classroom resources such as flashcards, posters etc
  • Contribute to our overall assessment of the students by giving feedback and writing reports twice a year.
  • Observe classes to gain insight into other techniques, and to improve your skills.
  • Learn how to impart the content of the classes in a fun and dynamic way, which keeps the students engaged and participating.
  • Improve your knowledge of English grammar and phonetics, and how to best help students reach their goals in speaking, reading, writing and listening.
  • Prepare older students for official Cambridge exams, and you'll receive training on those exams and how to teach the techniques for each part.
  • Learn about games, activities and pair work to keep your students having fun while they're learning.
  • You'll be monitored and observed frequently by our teacher coordinators, who will give you help and support throughout your internship.
You'll be part of the team at one of our two bright, spacious and well equipped academies in the province of Seville (district of Triana or town of Espartinas, just outside Seville city). Our internships are teacher in training positions, so you don't need any teaching experience, and you will have full support, monitoring and training throughout the academic year. You'll get to know your students, build a relationship with them, and help them to grow in their English learning journey.

Training and learning elements of internship

You will acquire knowledge on: Cambridge English exam techniques, Jolly Phonics methodology, correcting written work and exams, writing effective student reports, English grammar and pronunciation
You will acquire skills in: Classroom management for young learners and teenagers, assessing students and providing feedback, using games, activities and online resources, teamwork and collaboration

YOUR PROFILE

Education We welcome current or recently graduated students of any discipline, as long as you are eligible for your university to sign a learning agreement with us.
Skills and experience
  • No prior teaching experience required (teacher-in-training position). Experience working with children or teenagers (e.g. tutoring, coaching, volunteering, childcare) is an advantage.
  • C1 level of English is a must, with clear and confident spoken communication.
  • Good communication skills are essential, confidence and the willingness to learn are also vital for the role.
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and eager to learn in a structured academic environment.
  • Reliable and committed to the full 10-month programme.

600 euros net per month from September to June. We follow the school calendar in Seville, with the same paid holidays. We do not provide accommodation, but help interns with useful information and websites.
