The purpose of this internship is to assist our residence team in providing a high quality service to our guests and also conducting necessary administrative tasks for the school. In this position you will gain first hand experience in many key hospitality skills and gain valuable insights and experiences while improving your level of English. You will be providing effective and efficient day-to-day services to our international residents and assisting our operations team to ensure that the residence and the school run smoothly.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will be:

    • Contributing to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out (such as attending resident queries at reception, providing a high level of customer service, preparing welcome packs and key cards, preparing arrivals and departure lists)
    • Performing various cleaning activities and room checks, updating the rooms inventory list
    • Supporting kitchen staff with setting up/serving breakfast if required.
    • Planning and leading activities for the residents
    • Preparing and maintaining reports and data sets via Google sheets, reviewing data in the school management system
    • Other ad-hoc tasks in accommodation department, exam invigilation, reception, social programme, health and safety and classroom checks

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS

Availability Also outside Erasmus+ Traineeship Programme (also without grant)
Financial compensation Yes, salary of €800/month
Other reimbursement support Accommodation: 2 free weeks in a host family (self-catering); after the first two weeks, self-catering homestay accommodation costs €150 per week. In case we are not able to secure a self-catering host family for the first two weeks of your internship, you will be placed in a half-board host family (includes breakfast and dinner but not lunch) until we can find a self-catering host family for you.
In addition, you’re more than welcome to take part in our part-time evening language classes for free throughout your stay (General English, Cambridge Exam Preparation, and Foreign Languages available).
You can also sit for a Cambridge Exam (FCE/CAE) at Atlas for free, if there are dates available and as long as it doesn’t interfere with your working hours.
You will receive a 50% discount on our paid social programme activities.
You will receive 10 paid days of holiday pay for a 6 month internship.
