This role provides a unique chance for 3rd and 4th-year students, master’s students, or recent graduates to contribute to groundbreaking Research and Development (R&D) projects under the guidance of our experienced R&D Project Manager.

As a R&D Engineer (Intern) at TEDAGUA, you will work closely with the R&D Project Manager to identify, support, and contribute to various R&D activities. This internship offers hands-on experience in the dynamic field of water management and will expose you to cutting-edge projects that address real-world challenges.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will be focusing on following areas:

    • 1. Research Identification: Assist in the identification of potential R&D opportunities within the water management sector.
    • 2. Project Support: Provide support in the planning, execution, and monitoring of ongoing R&D projects.
    • 3. Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret data related to R&D activities, contributing to the formulation of strategic recommendations.
    • 4. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on the progress, findings, and outcomes of R&D projects, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
    • 5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders, fostering a dynamic and innovative work environment.
    • 6. Preparation of R&D Proposals: Assist in the preparation of proposals for new R&D projects, including literature reviews, background research, and project timelines.

Training and learning elements of internship

You will acquire knowledge on:
  • Water Management Fundamentals: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the water management lifecycle, including treatment, reuse, desalination, and sustainable practices.
  • R&D Project Management: Learn project management methodologies specific to R&D initiatives, including feasibility studies, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
  • Advanced Technologies: Explore cutting-edge technologies utilized in water management, such as membrane filtration, advanced oxidation processes, and digital solutions.
  • Regulation and Compliance: Understand the legal and regulatory frameworks governing water management and environmental protection.
  • Industry Landscape: Gain insights into the global water management market, emerging trends, and key players.
You will acquire skills in:
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Master data analysis techniques and tools to extract meaningful insights from research data.
  • Technical Reporting: Develop expertise in preparing clear, concise, and technically accurate reports for R&D projects.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Hone your ability to identify and solve complex problems related to water management challenges.
  • Project Management: Acquire practical skills in project planning, execution, and monitoring, contributing effectively to ongoing projects.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including engineers, scientists, and stakeholders.
  • Proposal Writing: Gain experience in crafting persuasive and well-structured proposals for securing funding for new R&D initiatives.

YOUR PROFILE

Education Currently enrolled in a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate program, pursuing a degree in Water Management, Chemical Engineer, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Master’s students or recent graduates are also encouraged to apply

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish is an advantage.
