We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Human Resources Trainee with a big passion for Business and people.
EngineerX was founded in 2018 to provide specialty services to the engineering industries. As a project sourcing company, we provide our customers with highly specialized tailor-made engineering solutions for complex projects in their Engineering, R&D and Production departments.
This person will start in a within a thriving start-up environment, in which autonomy, versatility, accountability, responsibility, creativity and projects executed in real life are central. Throughout your internship you will be intensively coached and trained to become an effective, independent, and strong business professional. The purpose of this internship is that by the end of it, you will have the confidence and knowledge to perform numerous of business tasks in an effective way.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will:

    • Support the team during the whole HR process from start, recruitment, selection to contracting.

Start

    • Understand customer needs and translating them into appropriate job descriptions.
    • Create and rewrite Job Descriptions in recognizable template with clear focus.
    • Place vacancies and monitor the influx of candidates.

Recruitment

    • Actively search through used systems and headhunt suitable profiles.
    • Contact suitable profiles (messages, emails, telephone calls, etc.).
    • Propose vacancies.
    • Do CV screening and registration in CRM and company systems.
    • Set up appointments for interviews.
    • Map out how candidates experience the selection process and what reasons lead to early withdrawal or not accepting the offer.
    • Work on the recruitment itself and think of ways to improve the process.

Selection

    • Conduct candidate interviews.
    • Summarize interviews and enter notes into CRM and other systems.
    • Select appropriate candidates and prepare all documentation.
    • Present candidates to stakeholders and guide them through the process.

Contracting

    • Support customer interviews with candidates until an agreement is reached.
    • Research additional questions from all stakeholders and formulate answers.

Training and learning elements of internship

You will acquire knowledge on: • During the internship, the student is expected to develop his skills in the Human Resources field.
• If the interest and learning context is feasible, the trainee can also be trained in the more overall business leading aspect and sales processes.
• The student is expected to understand the strategic way of thinking of a company and the value of competitive advantage and implement it.
• The competencies that she will acquire are autonomy, versatility, accountability, responsibility, creativity, and projects executed.
• Learn how to manage an end-to-end selection process: knowledge and experience in the search for candidates, conducting interviews, and choosing the profiles most in line with the job.
• Knowledge of market analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of HR techniques and practices.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and administrative attention points in a business.
• Learning all administrative features that come along with the whole HR Cycle such as CV templates, updating the CRM system, etc.

YOUR PROFILE

Education Currently following your Bachelor’s or Master’s in a business-related field
Skills and experience
  • You followed a commercial or business education (Bachelor or specialization)
  • You have strong analytical skills
  • You love to implement a human touch and enjoy connecting with people
  • You can think and work conceptually,
  • You can distinguish main from side issues,
  • You are able to and are open towards asking questions quickly and specifically to continue working independently,
  • You have strong communication skills in Dutch and English and you are able to listen,
  • You enjoy autonomy and work efficiently,
  • You enjoy working in a challenging environment where you bring value to yourself.
  • Can take a joke and loves to have open and transparent communication.
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong will to learn
  • Proficient in Word (Microsoft office)
  • Willing to do interviews with candidates
